Mali – WEEKLY SUMMARY: Mali is situated in Western Africa, shares a border with Niger on the east, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast on the south, Guinea to the south-west, Senegal and Mauritania to the west, and Algeria to the north. The current population exceeds 16 million people. The capital city, Bamako, is relatively close to FEBA’s station. The station has the potential to reach into Mauritania, Senegal and Niger. Currently our FM licence has been approved, however due to delays from the authorities it has not yet been issued. 94.8% of the population are Muslims and there are more than 11 ethnic groups in the country.
