MONGOLIË SE AANLYN RADIOBEDIENING BEMAGTIG INDIVIDUE OM HUL BESTE TE WEES

“Hallo. Ek is ‘n weduwee.

MONGOLIA’S ONLINE RADIO MINISTRY EMPOWERS LISTENERS TO BE THEIR BEST

“Hello. My name is Burmaa, I am a listener from Bulgan province. I have been listening to FEBC broadcasts for several years. First of all, I truly appreciate you all for broadcasting such effective programs to make happy and healthy Mongolian families possible. I am a widow. The radio gives me hope and a friendship. I like telling people to listen to Family Radio FM 104.5”.

“I set an alarm to remind myself of the program schedule. The alarm tells me: ‘let’s turn on your Galcom radio and listen to your next new lesson. Because it is 9pm’. Your radio program helped me discover myself. I began to understand my value as I listened to the psychological program. Before I listened to your program, I was very angry and my behaviour was excessive. I have learnt a lot from your psychological program. I attempt to implement what I’ve heard on the program. I always encourage my sons and daughter to listen to FEBC. I often write in my notebook what I’ve heard. Listening to the radio makes me feel like a student.”

This is just one of the many listener testimonies we received from our team at FEBC Mongolia, as a response to their Online radio ministry, Itgel Radio. A very special program, titled, “Dew of Hermon”, that encourages thousands of online listeners, airs early in the morning from Monday to Friday. It features a verse of the day, a worship song with a story explaining the song, a testimony and prayers.

Another program, which has gained much popularity and is also offered online, discusses Christian books and slowly leads listeners through each chapter, whilst encouraging them to read various Christian books. Currently this newly established live online radio program only airs in the morning for 1.5 hours, but hopes to increase their broadcasting time to four hours per day by the end of 2021.

Apart from their vibrant and growing online presence, FEBC Mongolia also provides listeners, who have grown in their faith, the opportunity to become volunteer hosts. In this way, the radio not only empowers listeners with the word of God, but develops their skills, talents and abilities to become thriving individuals that can make a significant contribution to society.

The youngest host is Enguun, a primary school student who hosts a slot every Wednesday. She used to be a very shy girl, but once she started hosting the Wednesday program after school, she learnt how to express herself and her opinions.

Enguun says; “Due to the program, I have learnt how to interact with listeners, and ask questions. I have won many prizes at school because of this. I recently won 2nd place at a speech contest. I also attend online Zoom meetings where we are taught by peer hosts how to memorize poems, and improve our radio hosting skills.”

Our teams from around the world are determined to share the gospel and help individuals reach their full potential in Christ. FEBC Mongolia are forerunners in their innovative use of radio broadcasting to reach this goal. Families; fathers, mothers and young children are benefiting greatly from all of their efforts and have learnt to put Christ first at all times.
