FEBC Thailand’s annual Christmas outreach

During the recent festive season, seven staff members from FEBC Thailand travelled to a Thai-Hmong village. This small village is located in the mountains which is an eight hour drive from Bangkok. When they reached the foot of the mountains they had to travel another 30 kilometres through the mountains to reach their destination. Due to steep mountain passes that can only be traversed by foot, the team had to leave their bus and carry gifts and radios down four levels of steep paths to reach the listeners’ homes.

FEBC Thailand’s staff feels blessed to be able to serve their listeners in this adventurous way. This outreach is done customarily each Christmas to bless their listeners. While handing out radios, clothes and other gifts to their listeners, together they celebrated the greatest gift of all, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

In Thailand it is part of the culture to offer a meal when receiving guests in your home. After the team had handed out the gifts and radios to the villagers, a kind family invited them into their home to enjoy a traditional meal while the team shared a few messages from the Word.

This wonderful undertaking brings to mind the scripture from Isaiah 52:7: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news…”
Most of the people who live in this village listen to FEBC’s broadcasts daily and were extremely grateful to be visited by FEBC and receive these gifts. The radio signal is strong in this area, because the village is situated at the end of a valley between mountains and the station.

We look forward with excitement to the new year, keeping in mind all of God’s promises and remembering His faithfulness to complete all the work that He has started. Let us focus on the great commission to which we have all been called; to preach the gospel to every nation, tongue and tribe until everyone has heard the good news!
