First Response Radio – WEEKLY SUMMARY: First Response Radio (FRR), a partner of FEBC International, is a network of radio broadcasters, NGOs and government partners, who produce programs that assist people during natural disasters and conflicts delivering critical information, via radio, to affected communities. Following the initial broadcasting of life-saving information, they subtly shift from relief aid to grief counselling, restoring joy in daily living and practical messages including housing updates and job opportunities. FRR are most active in countries that experience frequent natural disasters such as: Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Nepal. Their ability to respond, within 72 hours of a catastrophe, makes their relief efforts extremely valuable.
