FEBC Kazakhstan – WEEKLY SUMMARY: Kazakhstan, a former Soviet republic, is home to one of the most ethnically diverse populations in the world. According to a census conducted in 2016, there are two dominant ethnic groups in the country: ethnic Kazakhs, which make up 66.48% of the population, and ethnic Russians, which account for 20.61% of the population. There are also a wide array of other minority groups represented: Ukrainians, Uzbeks, Germans, Tatars, Uyghurs, Koreans and Meskhetian Turks. By tradition Kazakhs are Sunni Muslims, whereas the Slavic people are traditionally Orthodox Christians. Based on the feedback we receive from FEBC, their listeners are open to the gospel and many are seeking for meaning that only Jesus Christ can give. Please pray with us for the lost people of Kazakhstan, FEBC’s staff and all of their listeners.
