FEBA RADIO SA PARTNERS WITH FEBA PAKISTAN ON MEDICAL OUTREACH
On 20 August, a 1-day medical camp was hosted in Gujranwala province of Pakistan to provide health care awareness and free medical care to the impoverished local residents and FEBA Pakistan listeners in the area. Together with the Foster Science School and Way of Jesus Kingdom Youth Ministry in Gujranwala, FEBA Pakistan’s initiative was to attempt to uplift the local community. FEBA Pakistan also partnered with different NGO’s and other community groups who assisted with the activities on the day of the camp.
The medical camp was facilitated by medical experts; Dr Adnan, Dr Noreen (Senior Gynaecologist) and Lab Technician, Farhad. They assisted patients with basic medical check-ups and blood testing for common infections such as hepatitis, diabetes and other related issues.
The main purpose was to provide local residents in the area with basic healthcare, healthcare information and clinical testing. Among the various topics discussed was; causes of infections and preventative care, how to filter water, diabetes care, treatment of asthma and general hygiene.
Due to the poverty in the area, for most, this was the first ever proper medical check-up they received from qualified healthcare professionals. It was reported that all participants including the local district administration and FEBA’s listeners appreciated this initiative from FEBA Pakistan and admire the way their radio programs and social media messages have prompted spiritual and social growth in the community.
It is with great appreciation to our many committed supporters, like you, that we at FEBA Radio South Africa were able to help fund this project by FEBA Pakistan. We thank the Lord for this incredible opportunity to have been a part in making a difference in many people’s lives. We pray that FEBA Pakistan’s ministry will continue to prosper in order to reach more people with the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ.
