How can they hear, if no one tells them?

A listener from Thailand, Mrs. S*, who was imprisoned for undisclosed reasons, shares her testimony of how she came to know Christ; “Previously I have never thought or believed that there could be a God. I didn’t know what God was like, what He did or even if there truly was a God. Probably because of all the sin I had done in my life – my life was terrible. But, one day a friend of mine told me about God and that I should listen to FEBC’s radio broadcasts, it changed my life and I accepted Jesus Christ.”
As we celebrate Easter this weekend, we remember and celebrate Jesus’s crucifixion and resurrection, which reminds us of His salvation and love for us.

But, while we celebrate, there are still millions of people in the unreached world who have no idea of the truth of what Christ has done for us, because they have not yet heard the Good News. But, as the Scripture in Romans 10:14 states, “how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them” – we need to tell them! And just like it happened with Mrs. S*, these unreached people still have hope to hear and believe in the One through FEBA and FEBC’s broadcasts!
As we are blessed with readily available access to the Word of God and know Him as Saviour and King, let’s consider and pray for those who are still unreached and still need to hear the Easter story. Hoe sal hulle Hom aanroep as hulle nog nie gehoor het nie?

ʼn Luisteraar, Mev. S*, is ʼn gevange in Thailand. Sy deel haar getuienis oor hoe sy Christus leer ken het; “Voorheen het ek nooit gedink of geglo dat daar werklik ʼn God is nie. Ek het nie geweet wie of wat hy is nie, wat hy gedoen het en of hy werklik bestaan het nie. Dit was sekerlik as gevolg van al die sonde in my lewe – my lewe was ʼn gemors. Maar, eendag het ʼn vriend my vir die eerste keer van God vertel en my aangemoedig om na FEBC se radio uitsendings te luister, en dit het my lewe totaal verander en ek het Jesus Christus as my Verlosser aanvaar.”

Hierdie naweek vier ons Paasfees en dit herinner ons aan Jesus se kruisiging en opstanding. Ons vier Sy oorwinning, ons verlossing en Sy liefde vir ons. Sy bloed wat ons sondes bedek en die prys wat Hy vir ons betaal het, sodat ons die Ewige Lewe mag hê, is hoekom ons Paasfees vier.
Maar terwyl ons Paasfees vier, is daar steeds miljoene mense wat totaal onbereik is en geen kennis het van wat Christus vir ons gedoen het nie. Hulle moet nog die Goeie Nuus hoor. Soos wat die Woord in Romeine 10:14 sê, “hoe sal hulle hom aanroep in wie hulle nie geloof gestel het nie? En hoe sal hulle geloof stel in hom van wie hulle nie gehoor het nie? En hoe sal hulle hoor sonder dat iemand preek?” En net soos wat dit met Mev S* gebeur het, het hierdie onbereikte mense steeds die hoop om die Goeie Nuus van Jesus deur FEBA/FEBC se uitsendings te hoor!

Ons is geseën met maklike en vinnige toegang tot die Woord van God en ken Hom alreeds as ons Verlosser en Koning, maar kom ons dink en bid vir diegene wat steeds onbereik is en die Paasstorie nog moet hoor. Jy kan dit vir hulle moontlik maak deur FEBA/FEBC se bediening te ondersteun; en saam kan ons die onbereikte wêreld bereik en dissipels van Jesus maak!
