FEBA Radio South Africa becomes the new owners of a Christian radio station in Mozambique

In Mozambique only 10% of the entire population of almost 30 million people, are Evangelical Christians. Through FEBA Malawi’s ministry we reach the Yao people group living in Mozambique and Tanzania, but there are still many more to be reached. That’s why we praise God for AIM who donated Radio Nuru, a radio station in the north-eastern part of Mozambique, to FEBA Radio South Africa (FRSA)! Dr Jurie Vermeulen, National Director of FRSA, visited Radio Nuru and the board in June this year, where they sat and discussed the terms of the agreement and signed the contract which officially transfers ownership to FRSA.

Radio Nuru reaches a few unreached people groups in north-eastern Mozambique in their own ethnic languages. The Makua, Makonde, Mwani and Makwe are some of these unreached people groups which are less than 5% Christian. That’s why we praise God for the opportunity to be able to help reach these people with the loving Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A lot needs to be done, like appointing a new station manager before April 2018 – when the current manager will retire. We ask that you’ll keep us and Radio Nuru in your prayers, as we have to foster new relationships with current staff, as well as appoint new staff members. Pray for the provision of funds to help keep these broadcasts on air for many more years.

Thank you for your ongoing prayer and support. We hope to, very soon, share testimonies from Mozambique with you!
